About Us

B T Edwards Process Service, LLC was founded on the principle that service of process should be reliable and trustworthy. We have provided discrete process service and investigations for 33 years. Our professionalism and skill set are unmatched in the area. We are experienced with serving all types of legal documents for law firms of all sizes, businesses, and individuals.

Our owner, Billy T. Edwards Jr., started the company in 1985 after graduating with his business degree and working as a licensed Private Investigator for over six years. He started handling process of service work on a part-time basis. As the demand grew, he found that his expertise as a P.I., along with his strong work ethics to ‘do it right the first time’, became the foundation for his success in the business.

Process Service

Delivery of legal notice of an individual's involvement in a court proceeding. We are well versed in the different process serving laws that govern the areas we cover to ensure that efficient service is completed in each and every case.

We will serve all of your legal documents including but not limited to, Writ of Summons, Complaints, Subpoenas, Show Cause Orders, Landlord & Tenant papers, Liens, Garnishments, and Foreclosures.

Refund Policy: Once an attempt has been made or work has started there are no refunds given if served or non-served or if the paper has been filed in the court by the request of the client.

Skip Tracing

Many individuals may become aware that they are going to be served and try to avoid accepting those documents. We use investigative techniques to attempt to track down the whereabouts of these evasive individuals in order to get them served so your case continues on time.

Please understand it isn’t a 100% guarantee that we will find an individual. Many times, individuals won’t update their home status or information on where they’re currently staying. People often list family and friends' home addresses or P.O. boxes as their primary home address but in reality, they don’t reside at the address. Our skip tracing also includes Postal Checks. Please use our “Contact Us” form if you wish to have someone skip traced.

Surveillance

Our surveillance methods help us serve hard to find or hiding subjects attempting to avoid a process server. Our surveillance process servers are very patient in waiting at a home or location for the individual to show themselves. We are discreet in our tactics which gives us results many results.

Mobile Notary

Need a document notarized? We offer mobile notary service to Prince George’s County, Maryland. A professional notary will travel to you, saving you time and the hassle of making an unnecessary trip to a notary.

We will notarize your letter, forms, legal papers, or any documents so you can be at ease knowing that your notary service has been completed correctly.

On all Credit & Debt card payments our 3.95 % fee must be INCLUDED in your total cost. This fee is to be included per each transaction. Please NOTE: Any fee’s paid and the 3.95 % is not included we will forward you a second invoice with the missed fee and the additional 3.95 % for the 2nd transaction. If you like we can forward your Invoice once your information & papers are submitted.
